On March 9, a new episode featuring BLACKPINK’s Jennie was uploaded to the YouTube channel “Fairy Jaehyung.” In the interview, Jennie opened up about her experiences since establishing her own agency and embracing newfound independence.

During their conversation, host Jung Jae-hyung praised Jennie for her insightful responses in recent overseas interviews, saying, “As you said, it seems like you’ve truly learned how to find yourself. Is it something you’ve come to realize more now that you’re standing alone?”

Jennie nodded in agreement, reflecting on the changes she has faced. “That’s right. When I had to carry the responsibilities that were once shared among four people all by myself, I was surprised by myself as well.”

The discussion then turned to her company, ODD ATELIER, which she launched in December 2023. Jung Jae-hyung asked about the size of her team, remarking, “You have quite a big family now, don’t you? How many people are in your office?”

When Jung Jae-hyung brought up concerns about the high costs associated with producing an album, Jennie shared a personal story about her decision to start her own agency. “When I decided to start my own company and go independent, I had many conversations with my mom. Back then, we agreed on something important,” she recalled.

She elaborated, “We decided that when it comes to the things I want to achieve or dreams I want to pursue, I should see them through to the end. If I try and later decide I don’t want to continue, that’s fine. But quitting without even trying and only complaining about it wouldn’t be a good way to end things.”

Jennie emphasized her commitment to personal and artistic growth, adding, “That’s why I tend to invest a lot in myself.”
